The pruning work we do most
Deadwooding takes out dead and dying branches before they fall. Crown lifting raises the lower canopy so you can walk, park or mow underneath. Crown thinning lets light and wind through a dense tree. Clearance pruning keeps branches off roofs, gutters, fences and service lines.
Why we won't just cut it back hard
Cutting a gum back to stubs feels like it solves the problem, but it rarely does. The tree throws out a mass of fast, weakly attached shoots that become a bigger risk in a few years. We'll explain what the tree can handle and give you options that last.
Council rules apply to pruning too
In Hornsby Shire most pruning needs a permit unless it fits an exemption. On the Central Coast, small amounts of pruning are often exempt but larger jobs aren't. We'll check before we start.
When to call us
- Branches are touching the roof or gutters
- Dead limbs are visible in the canopy
- The yard or solar panels are in constant shade
- A storm has left hanging or split branches
- You can't walk or park under the tree
