What to do right now
Keep everyone well away from the tree and any fallen power lines. If lines are down, call your electricity network or 000 before anything else. If the tree has damaged your home and you need urgent help to make it safe, the NSW SES is on 132 500.
Take photos of the damage from a safe distance. Your insurer will want them, and so will we.
How an emergency call-out works
We come out, assess the tree and make the immediate area safe. That might mean removing a hanging limb, taking weight off a roof or clearing a driveway. Full removal and clean-up can happen straight away or on a follow-up visit, whichever is safer.
Council and insurance
Councils generally allow work on trees that pose an imminent risk to life or property, but they still expect evidence afterwards. Central Coast Council asks for this from an AQF Level 5 arborist, which Marcus is. We provide photos and a short written report you can pass to council and your insurer.
